Letter from 'Client A' to the British Decorators Association.

On behalf of my husband and myself I would like to commend the work done by Mel Decor (Jim Meldrum of Rosebank Gardens, Kincardine).

After having an appalling decorating job done for us I contacted Mel Decor through the Yellow Pages. I had absolutely no idea what made me choose Mr Meldrum but we can honestly say that he has transformed our house by his keen eye for detail and his attitude and perfection to the job. He gave us splendid advice, something that we would never have expected, helped us choose the materials required and really restored our confidence in Painters and Decorators.

We were so impressed with the work carried out by Mr Meldrum that we decided to have the whole house decorated and we are absolutely delighted with the end result. He also ensures that the job is fully finished by following up to ensure that everything is as it should be.

Letter from 'Client B' to the British Decorators Association.

I have recently had the outside of my home painted by a member of the British Decorators Association and am writing to express my satisfaction with Mel Decor of 10 Rosebank Gardens, Kincardine, Fife.

My house is a large 4-bedroomed, Tudor effect style with concrete rendering and 'softwood' planks. Over the 13 years since it was built, it has been painted 3 times before and I have never been satisfied. the outside of our home has looked progressively worse.

I had discussions and quotes from 8 painters before asking James Meldrum of Mel Decor to look at the task. He impressed me from the start with his description of how he would rectify the situation and improve the external look of our home. He demonstrated verious paints and colours and recommended the best products for the job.

The attention to detail when completing the work was second to none. Mel Decor not only did exactly what we asked but also came up with ideas to improve the overall look of the house, including highlighting each bolt on the wordwork in gold. The final effect is outstanding.

Mel Decor took care to only work in the correct weather conditions and took time to complete a first-class job. All surfaces were improved including all guttering and downpipes, which were not included in any other painters plans.

Not only does our house stand out as the best maintained in our area, but I am confident that it will stay that way for many years to come.
